Summer School

So I just recently found out that Summer Session 1 starts Monday. That's just great. Especially when I didn't think school started until after July 4th weekend. This has three distinct rammifications on my plans:

1) I had to postpone my jury duty. They let me move it until after summer school ends, sometime in the first week of September.

2) I have class on the day I'm supposed to move, June 30th. I have lecture from 8am to 9:20am, and lab from 10am to 12:50pm, but I think I can skip lecture, and hopefully lab won't take the full three hours. Well, we shall see. I think we'll have enough time.

3) I had planned on sitting around and doing nothing for another week, and that's been shot to hell. Stupid school. And I still need to finish packing and cleaning up the apartment. Better get started soon...

I got a Gmail account awhile back, and when I checked it today, it had the button where I could give invites to people! When I clicked the button, it said I had six whole invitations to give out! Since I wanted a normal e-mail account for when I graduate and don't have my UCSD one anymore, I sent an invitation to myself. Alas, it seems almost all forms of Calvin Lai are taken already. What a bunch of crap. People are stealing my identity!! AHHH!! ...Anyway, Google recommended that I use the name "calvinster", which is kind of stupid, but whatever.

Anyway, the point of this post is to ask if anyone wants an invitation, let me know. I currently have four more left, because I already sent one to Tiffany. So I guess it'll be first come first serve, to be fair. But then again, I don't think more than four people read this anyway, so it won't be a problem.

Randomness: Why don't I have a middle name?? I should just stick a random letter in between my first and last name so I can make my new Gmail account. Any suggestions?

Hiatus Ended!

Currently Playing: Yellowcard - October Nights

After a nearly eight month hiatus, I have returned to the world where Orcs pillage and the Undead run rampant, where Elves hide in the night shadows and Humans possess magical abilities. Yes, I have returned to the world of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Although not fully reacquainted yet, I feel that a return to form is imminent. This will be facilitated by a gradual transition from custom games such as Defense of the Ancients to the eventual ladder play. Here's to never parting again.

Anyway, as you can see, I really don't have anything to do, especially when Tiffany is at work during the day. And I actually have only played one game of Warcraft, and it was only a custom game, so I haven't really started playing again yet.

I guess this summer is a big return to gaming for me, because I also started played Final Fantasy VIII again with Tiffany. I had played FF8 years ago when it first came out, but I had never finished it. For some reason I stopped playing it right before I was about to beat the game. Anyway, Tiffany wanted to start the game over because she had missed Leviathan in her current file, so 12 hours of gameplay later, we are deep in the heart of disc one (of four).

What else...Oh yes, I have jury duty soon. I really hope I don't have to be a juror, because school does start soon, and I have all the stuff I have to do for when I move, etc...Plus I just don't want to do it. Arya told me about how he got out of jury duty by writing some long essay about how in these hard economical times, it was necessary for him to work to get money to attend school, blah blah blah. Maybe I'll end up doing that too...though I don't really have a job at the moment. Oh well. Maybe I'll just write something about how I discriminate against every race and every sexual orientation.
