I'll be in the wormhole soon

Currently Playing: Armor for Sleep - Slip Like Space

I have lost everything.

Maybe that was a little too melodramatic.

I have lost ALMOST everything. My videos, pictures, music, documents. Everything that was on my hard drive. Let me explain.

I had to reformat my hard drive recently because one of my hard drives was dying. It would freeze up my computer every time I tried to access something from it. Since it was the hard drive with my primary Windows partition on it, I had to do a fresh install on my other hard drive. This left a small partition 10 GB on the broken hard drive, so I figured I should merge the small partition with the rest of the hard drive. All was going well until about the 27% mark. Suddenly, I saw the Partition Magic's toolbar fade to white. Uh oh. I left it alone, hoping it would fix itself. After 20 minutes of nonresponsiveness, I tried clicking in random places, hoping against hope that that would trigger something, but...nothing. Fuck. I clicked around some more. This time it triggered something. The program closed and I got the pop-up asking me if I wanted to submit the error to Microsoft. Yes, I really want to submit the fucking error to Microsoft, because they can really help me now.

I didn't panic. I could recover my files right? Nope. Apparently my hard drive was in worse condition than I had previously believed. There was an error in part of the hard drive and I could only recover half of my files. Half of the files that I did recover had broken clusters, so those don't work either. So now what am I left with? Not much. Luckily I had burned off most of my videos and anime to DVD's, but I lost pretty much all of my music, except the stuff that is on my laptop (but that's only about a quarter of my songs), and there's no way I could get all of that back. I don't even remember what I had.

On the bright side I guess, now I get to use up a lot of bandwidth that I had been neglecting for awhile now. I think in the span of 36 hours I have downloaded 7-8 GB, possibly more.
