I've got a way and you know how

Currently Playing: Yellowcard - Lights and Sounds

Large groups of Asians are stupid. Asians are stupid. People are stupid.

I was trying to pick up Tiffany from class on Tuesday in the Peterson parking turn-around, only I ran into a wall of Asians congregating around outside of Peterson. Normally, this would only annoy me and not piss me off, but not only was it an exceptionally large group of Asians, half of them were standing in the street! It's not like there wasn't ample sidewalk space for all of them to comfortably stand.
I mean, the street is narrow enough as it is. STAND ON THE SIDEWALK ASSHOLES!

Also, I don't understand why everyone is so hell bent on exiting out the rear door of the shuttle. At least half of the people in the front half of the shuttle go out the rear door. Combine that with all the people in the back of the shuttle and it takes forever to get out, especially if you're already late for class. If you are in the front half of the bus, go out the front door!

It's going to be a long season...

Hello friend, it's been too long

Currently Playing: Yellowcard - Finish Line

Last night was Fallfest, a free concert held every year at UCSD. This year they had Nural, DJ Quik, and Yellowcard. I won't bore everyone with details of how the night went and such, since everyone that went already knows what happened and I doubt anyone who didn't go cares about what I did leading up to the concert.

The first two bands were not of much note. In fact, Arden was even asleep through most of DJ Quik. We went down to the floor while they were setting up for Yellowcard, and Tiffany somehow pushed her way all the way to the front and near center. When the concert started, we were five or six people back inbetween Ryan (lead singer/guitarist) and Pete (bassist). After two or three songs though, Tiffany and I got out of there and moved over to the left a little. We ended up closer to the stage (three or four people back), and right in front of Pete. I actually enjoy being a little off-center more because there are still enough people into the music and jumping around to make it fun, but there is no longer the danger of getting pushed down to the floor (like Kevin) or getting bum-rushed in the face (also like Kevin).

Yellowcard was awesome.

They played an hour-and-a-half long set; much, much longer than I any other set I've seen/heard, Yellowcard or otherwise. Highlights include a cover of Say it Ain't So by Weezer, a sea of cell phone lights during an acoustic Cigarette encore, an inordinate number of flip-flops being thrown on stage, one of which hit Ryan, and a rousing "Ahhh-ahhh-ahh, ahh-ahhh-ahh, ahh-ahh-ahh-ahhhh" backup for Ocean Avenue sung by most of the crowd. For anyone who cares or is trying to keep track, here set list to the best of my memory, somewhat in order (the middle songs are a little fuzzy):

1. Way Away
2. Twenty-three
3. Inside Out
4.
Avondale
5. Finish Line
6. Say it Ain't So
7.
Empty Apartment
8.
View from Heaven
9. A.W.O.L.
10. Life of a Salesman
11. Believe
12. Only One
13. Breathing
14. Cigarette
15. Lights and Sounds
16. Ocean Avenue

And a few songs from their new album that I don't remember the name of.
