I guess I haven't updated in a long time, and since it's probably wrong to post just my quiz, I'll write about some other stuff as well.
I'm trying to find an internship or career-relevant job for the summer, but it's not going so well. I had an interview on Monday at a company called "Bioedge". You would think that with a name like Bioedge, that it would have something to do with biology. Boy was I wrong. It turns out Bioedge manufactures contact lenses. My job would have been to manufacture the blue dye the put in the lenses to make them visible if dropped or misplaced. That has nothing to do with any biological science, unless you consider corrective lenses a biological science. I mean, you wouldn't call an eyeglass manufacturer a biological research company would you? WOULD YOU?? Might as well call it CompuGlobalHyperMegaNet. Sure, the job description said something about working with polymers, which isn't exactly what I want to do because that is more pure chemistry...but I figured it was still somewhat relevant lab work. Whatever.
And not only was I apparently not prepared for this interview at all, they had four people in the same room interviewing me at the same time. Needless to say, the interview did not go so well.
